Brazilian municipalities expand vocational training and adult education programs

Municipalities in Brazil are implementing various professional training and educational initiatives. In Caraguatatuba, the City Hall and the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) have partnered to launch an active search for students for a Technical Administration course integrated with High School for Youth and Adult Education (EJA).

The program aims to identify individuals wishing to resume their studies and obtain technical qualifications. To support student retention, the initiative includes benefits such as transportation vouchers, meals, and a monthly stipend equivalent to one-quarter of the minimum wage. Enrollment is expected to begin in December following community outreach meetings.

In Apucarana, the City Hall, through the Secretariat for Women and Family Affairs, completed a free pizza preparation course for 12 women in partnership with Senac. This training is part of a broader series of vocational programs—including baking, sewing, and manicuring—designed to promote financial autonomy and entrepreneurship among local women.
