Brazilian municipalities host events for senior citizens

Municipalities in Brazil held various events to celebrate Father's Day and promote social integration for senior citizens.

In Capivari, the “Melhor Idade” program, managed by the Secretariat of Social Development, hosted a special lunch for approximately 30 male participants. The initiative aims to foster belonging, self-esteem, and quality of life through activities such as yoga, pilates, and water aerobics.

In São José dos Pinhais, the Secretariat of Social Assistance organized a large-scale dance for over 900 elderly residents at Colônia Mergulhão. The annual event features live music and social activities intended to reduce social isolation and provide leisure opportunities for the city's 50 senior citizen groups.
