Pet Adoption Fairs Launched in Brazil and Poland

A municipality organized a pet adoption fair at the regional court (TJMT) and expanded animal‑protection actions in Poland.

In Fortaleza, Brazil, the Grand Shopping hosted the second edition of its "Feira Pet" on 20 June 2026, offering 16 rescued animals—eight dogs and eight cats—for responsible adoption. Prospective adopters must present a photo ID and undergo an interview with the Instituto Gaba.

The city of Serra, Brazil, scheduled three neighborhood adoption fairs on 18, 23 and 25 June, featuring dogs and cats and requiring participants to be over 18 with identification and proof of residence. Municipal officials emphasized guidance on responsible pet care.

Teresópolis, Brazil, held a dog‑adoption fair on 19 June at the Calçada da Fama, organized by the municipal health secretariat, inviting the public to adopt rescued dogs and promote animal welfare.

All events aim to increase responsible pet adoption, reduce stray‑animal populations, and raise public awareness of animal welfare.
