Nova Iguaçu hires 313 inclusion agents for municipal schools
The municipality of Nova Iguaçu announced a simplified selection process to hire 313 temporary Agents of Support for Inclusion to work in its public schools. Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma in Normal Teaching and a minimum 200‑hour specialization in Special Education. The positions are 40 hours per week, with a gross monthly salary of R$ 1,902.34 and benefits such as transport allowance, vacation pay, 13th‑month salary and parental leave.
Of the 313 vacancies, 234 are open to all applicants, 16 are reserved for people with disabilities and 63 for Black or indigenous candidates. The hiring aims to strengthen the municipality’s commitment to special‑needs education. Education Secretary Virgínia Rocha said, “Inclusion is not just a target for us; it is a daily commitment to each student,” emphasizing that the new professionals will provide dedicated support for students with disabilities and developmental disorders.
The selection was published on 18 June 2026 in the official diary, and successful candidates will begin work across early childhood, elementary and youth‑adult education programs.
