Brazilian municipalities launch school registration and student aid programs

Municipalities in Brazil have launched new educational initiatives. In Varginha, the Municipal Education Secretariat has opened school registration for the 2027 academic year. The process is open until August 21 and is intended for children entering preschool or the first year of elementary school, as well as students transferring from other cities or private schools.

Registration can be completed in person at the Secretariat or online. Required documentation includes the student's birth certificate, CPF, proof of residence, and school declarations for transfers.

In Nova Veneza, the local government has opened applications for the 'Bolsa Auxílio' program for the second semester of 2026. The program provides a monthly allowance of R$ 250 to residents enrolled in higher education or technical courses. Applications must be submitted by August 25 at the Municipal Education Secretariat, with required documents including proof of enrollment, proof of residence, and personal identification.
