Brazilian municipalities launch teacher and technical staff recruitment
Various Brazilian municipalities are launching public selection processes and recruitment drives for municipal staff, primarily in the education sector.
In Curitiba, the city administration has opened a simplified selection process to hire 1,443 temporary teachers to replace staff on leave or those transitioning to administrative roles. The positions include 835 teaching professionals and 608 early childhood educators, with contracts starting in January 2027. Selection will be based on professional experience and title evaluation.
Cuiabá is currently summoning six approved candidates for various roles, including classroom teachers, physical education instructors, and technical positions such as civil and environmental engineers, to serve in the 2026 school year. Candidates must submit required documentation digitally by October 1.
Other regional initiatives include São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo, which published an edict for a reserve registry of teaching professionals across 12 functions, and Rio Bonito, which is seeking reserve teachers for subjects such as Geography, History, and English. In Artur Nogueira, a selection process is underway for various teaching roles for the 2027 school year, with salaries ranging from R$ 3,129.16 to R$ 4,162.63.
