Brazilian municipalities Marília and Porto Velho expand online public service platforms
The city of Marília in São Paulo state has launched the "Serviços Marília" platform, allowing citizens and businesses to request documents, pay bills, consult property records, obtain permits and access the Zera Dívida debt‑regularisation program entirely online. The municipal secretariat of Technology and Innovation says the service aims to reduce travel, waiting time and bureaucracy.
In Porto Velho, Rondônia, the municipal government’s PVH+ app now offers more than 240 digital services, from document issuance to tax queries and health‑exam results. Since its release the app has been downloaded over 6,000 times across Android and iOS devices, providing residents a way to handle many municipal tasks without leaving home.
