Brazilian musical groups mark career milestones and tributes

The Brazilian music scene celebrates significant milestones for local artists. The rock band S ou S, originating from Petrópolis, is marking 40 years of musical history. Formed in 1985 by brothers and friends, the group began in a bedroom using a wardrobe as a makeshift drum kit before evolving into a long-standing fixture of the regional rock scene.

In another musical event, the vocal group Trio Amaranto and guitarist Tabajara Belo are performing a free tribute show at the Conservatório UFMG. The performance, titled ‘Vinicius’, honors the poet and musician Vinicius de Moraes as part of the conservatory's centenary celebrations. The repertoire includes classic Brazilian songs such as ‘Chega de saudade’ and ‘Estrada branca’.
