Brazilian musicians Luiz Carlos Sá and Banda Piolhos announce new projects

Brazilian musician Luiz Carlos Sá is entering a new solo phase with the upcoming simultaneous release of an album and a book titled ‘Eu, caçador de mim’ in October. This project follows a 53-year partnership with Guarabyra. The album, released by Kuarup, features ten tracks, including five new compositions from 2026 and five from the 2025 EP ‘Sambas de mato’. The record includes collaborations with Almir Sater, Ivan Lins, and Zeca Baleiro.

In a separate musical development, Banda Piolhos has returned to activity with a new version of Gilberto Gil’s classic song ‘Palco’. Produced by Guilherme Kastrup with arrangements by Henrique Albino, the single serves as a precursor to the group’s upcoming EP. The band, known for music aimed at children and young adults, aims to bridge different generations through this new rhythmic interpretation of Gil’s work.
