Brazilian musicians release new works and surprise fans with collaborations

Brazilian musician Maurício Pereira has released his new album, "O Dia da Girafa," marking his first collection of original material since 2018. Developed from writings composed during the pandemic, the album features collaborations with younger artists, including his sons, violinist Chico Bernardes and musician Tim Bernardes. Pereira described the experience of working with his children as a way to bring his musical traditions into their contemporary perspectives.

In a separate development in the sertanejo scene, the duo Kaique & Felipe recorded their new DVD, "Origens," at Villa Country in São Paulo. The event featured a surprise appearance by Luan Santana, who joined the duo to perform the song "Mente Sã," a composition by Santana. The singer's participation was unexpected by both the duo and the audience, as he had originally attended the recording as a guest.
