Brazilian National Congress launches educational theater for children

The National Congress of Brazil is launching a new educational initiative for children titled ‘A Incrível Jornada de Uma Lei’ (The Incredible Journey of a Law) as part of the ‘Visite Encena’ project. The program aims to transform traditional guided tours into interactive, playful experiences focused on citizenship, participation, and democracy.

Scheduled for October 10, 11, 12, 17, and 18, the free performances will take place within the halls of the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate, including locations such as the Ulysses Guimarães Plenary and the Blue Hall. Through theatrical storytelling and interactive activities like simulated voting, the program teaches children the complex stages of the legislative process, including debate, voting, sanction, and veto.
