Brazilian Navy and Olympic Boxing Team hold training exchange

The Brazilian Navy’s ‘Lutando com Energia’ project conducted a training exchange with the Brazilian Olympic Boxing Team from August 30 to September 4. The ‘Camp Training’ featured four sparring sessions designed to prepare the national team for the South American Games and the military selection for the 2027 Military World Games.

The program utilized competitive modeling, a method that simulates real combat situations during training. Because several athletes, including Beatriz Ferreira, Yuri Falcão, Wanderley Pereira, Isaías Ribeiro, and Luiz Gabriel, belong to both the Navy and the Brazilian Boxing Confederation (CBBoxe), the sessions achieved an international level of competition.

In addition to the Olympic athletes, nine Navy athletes participated, including club world champions Arilson Gonçalves, Edson Kalango, and Cássio Oliveira. Navy coach Nemo Judice noted that the availability of high-performance athletes in both training centers allows for effective international-level simulations without the need for official international events. The initiative was promoted by CBBoxe and supported by the Navy’s Sports Commission and Emgepron.
