Brazilian Navy opens 400 technical positions, deadline July 12
The Brazilian Navy announced a public recruitment exam for the Auxiliary Corps of Seamen (Corpo Auxiliar de Praças) with 400 technical vacancies for candidates holding a high‑school diploma. Over 20 fields of specialization are offered, including administration, engineering, health, and communications. Applications must be submitted through the Navy’s website by 23:59 local time on Sunday, 12 July, with a registration fee of R$ 75.
Successful candidates will enter a formation course as a special rank cadet (grumete) receiving a monthly salary of R$ 1,339 to R$ 1,399. After graduation they are promoted to cabo, earning R$ 3,739 to R$ 3,942, depending on specialty and service time. The selection process consists of an objective exam and a discursive‑argumentative essay; testing locations will be in 19 cities across Brazil, though specific dates, times and venues will be released after 14 September on the SSPM portal.
The contest is part of the Navy’s effort to staff its technical branches for 2026, providing a pathway for young professionals to join the armed forces with stable remuneration and career advancement.
