Brazilian neonatal units hold World Cup‑themed photo sessions for preterm infants
Hospitals in Brazil staged special World Cup‑inspired photo shoots for babies in neonatal intensive care. At Hospital Santo Antônio in Blumenau, infants in the NICU and the intermediate care unit were dressed in green and yellow kits on 12 June, with costumes made by hospital staff and photographed by a volunteer.
A similar event took place at the Santa Casa de Misericórdia in Sobral, where premature infants were photographed with football‑themed décor and accessories. Both initiatives were organized by neonatal teams to humanize care, bring moments of joy to families, and create lasting memories of the babies’ first World Cup.
The activities were carried out with full medical supervision, ensuring the safety and hygiene of all equipment used for the infants.
