Brazilian NGOs and municipality provide food aid to vulnerable families in Andradina and Araras

The Associação da Agricultura Familiar Força da Terra delivered food kits to members of the Cooperativa Grandes Lagos in Andradina on 17 July 2026, with additional powdered‑milk kits on 28 July 2026. The kits were supplied by the Banco CEAGESP de Alimentos in Araçatuba. Association president Gilberto Barbosa said the partnership "helps many people and brings food to families that need support."

In Araras, the municipal government distributes "green baskets" of vegetables, fruits and legumes to 17 charitable entities and 20 vulnerable families. The baskets are purchased through the federal Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA) with a total allocation of R$ 320 thousand, covering distribution through November. Mayor Elaine Brambilla and environmental‑agriculture secretary Bruna Martins oversaw the delivery, emphasizing the aim to provide healthy food and sustain local family agriculture.
