Brazilian oversight bodies coordinate to strengthen public control

Brazilian oversight institutions are coordinating efforts to strengthen public management, transparency, and internal control. The Instituto Rui Barbosa (IRB) and the National Council of Internal Control (Conaci) have advanced a joint agenda to implement an action plan following a technical cooperation agreement signed in May.

Simultaneously, the Amazonas Court of Accounts (TCE-AM) is mobilizing civil society and stakeholders to participate in a national survey. This initiative is part of the National Listening Strategy for the Maturity Model of Central Internal Control Units (Mucci), led by Conaci and supported by Atricon. The goal is to create a national framework that accounts for the diverse realities of states and municipalities across Brazil without establishing institutional rankings.
