Brazilian Paralympic Committee celebrates Rio 2016 legacy
The Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) is hosting several initiatives to celebrate the ten-year legacy of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
As part of these celebrations, the CPB brought five historic medalists—Alana Maldonado, Petrúcio Ferreira, Phelipe Rodrigues, Clodoaldo Silva, and Jennyfer Parinos—to the Rock in Rio festival. This move aimed to connect the Paralympic movement with broader cultural audiences and increase the visibility of the institution beyond the official sporting calendar.
Additionally, a free commemorative exhibition has opened at the Brazilian Paralympic Training Center (CTPB) in São Paulo. The exhibit features original artifacts from the Rio 2016 Games, including medals, torches, and uniforms, alongside photographic records and mascot costumes. The exhibition will run until November 27, and includes scheduled tours led by prominent medalists such as Daniel Dias.
