Brazilian police delegate arrested with PCC leader

Investigations into Renato Henrique do Carmo, a high-ranking leader of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) in Northeast Brazil known as ‘Gordão’, have revealed an intimate relationship with Maria Virgínia Grimwood Pinto, a delegate for the Civil Police of Pará.

The couple was arrested during an operation led by the Civil Police of Pernambuco. Digital evidence extracted from Carmo’s phone shows that the delegate allegedly provided institutional protection, shared confidential information, and granted access to restricted public security systems in exchange for financial benefits, including a R$ 50,000 transfer.

Messages indicate the relationship began in November 2024. In the communications, Carmo requested operational and informational support, to which the delegate responded that their ‘partnership will be forever.’
