Brazilian police in Minas Gerais arrest burglary suspect and seize drugs in motorcycle raid

In Ipatinga, Minas Gerais, the Military Police apprehended a 38‑year‑old man who had broken into a house in the Ideal neighbourhood. Witnesses alerted authorities, enabling officers to locate the suspect, recover a jigsaw saw, a flashlight and two electric‑cable extensions, and take him to the civil police station.

In Poços de Caldas, also in Minas Gerais, a separate police operation dubbed “Operação Cavalo de Aço” resulted in the arrest of a 26‑year‑old rider. He was charged with receiving stolen goods, tampering with vehicle identification, and drug trafficking. Officers seized a black Honda XRE 300 stolen earlier in the year, marijuana, the synthetic drug “Ice,” cash, a cellphone and other items before delivering the suspect to the civil police.
