Brazilian police seize stolen car in Cascavel and cloned vehicle in Tabaporã
Police in Cascavel, Paraná, stopped a vehicle on BR‑277 that had been reported stolen from Campinas, São Paulo, in December 2023. The car, fitted with altered plates, was carrying four family members who were taken to the local civil police station for questioning.
In Tabaporã, Mato Grosso, a joint operation by the civil police and military police recovered a vehicle identified as cloned after intelligence linked it to a theft reported in São Paulo. The car’s chassis and engine numbers had been removed, confirming the alteration. The driver and the vehicle were transferred to the Tabaporã civil police precinct.
