Brazilian political figures hold campaign events in São Paulo and Piauí

In São Bernardo do Campo, Podemos candidate Ivan Silva held a campaign event titled ‘Arrancada da vitória’ to support his bid for the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly. The gathering, which drew over 2,000 supporters, featured federal deputy and national party president Renata Abreu, as well as Mayor Marcelo Lima. Silva emphasized the importance of local mobilization to drive social transformation in the Grande ABC region.

In Piauí, former Teresina Vice Mayor Robert Rios expressed optimism regarding the MDB party's performance in the 2026 elections. During a political gathering in Teresina, Rios projected that Senator Marcelo Castro would secure a significant lead in the Senate race, potentially exceeding 200,000 votes over the runner-up. Rios also anticipated that the MDB would see strong representation in the Legislative Assembly, citing candidates such as Themístocles Filho and Severo Eulálio.
