State deputy Ivan Naatz (PL) has introduced a complementary bill in the Santa Catarina legislature to increase resources for APAEs and other nonprofit entities that serve people with disabilities. The proposal, if approved, would benefit more than 31,000 students across 200 APAEs by allowing health‑sector budget amendments for multidisciplinary teams, facility upgrades, equipment, and transport vehicles.
