Brazilian pre‑candidates launch campaign tours in Tocantins and Maranhão
Alfredo Junior, a pre‑candidate for Brazil's federal Chamber of Deputies from Tocantins, is touring the state to promote industrialisation and the development of tourism. He argues Tocantins can attract new investment, expand its production chain and create jobs, while also leveraging its natural attractions to boost the local economy.
Júnior Viana, a pre‑candidate for the Maranhão state legislature, spent the weekend visiting several municipalities, meeting local leaders, attending cultural events such as the 7th Festival of Pineapple and a traditional vaquejada. He emphasised the importance of close dialogue with residents, strengthening municipal partnerships and supporting policies that drive regional growth.
