Brazilian Private Pension Congress to discuss tourism financing and EFPC management
The 47th Brazilian Private Pension Congress (CBPP) will feature discussions on the role of pension funds in large-scale economic development. The Maraey complex, located in Maricá, intends to discuss how closed supplementary pension entities (EFPCs) can finance long-term tourism projects. With EFPCs managing over R$ 1.4 trillion in assets, there is a focus on attracting institutional investors through structures that meet profitability, governance, and risk control criteria.
The Maraey project's first phase involves R$ 4.5 billion in planned investments, including a Real Estate Investment Fund (FII) of up to R$ 600 million. The development is also negotiating long-term financing with international organizations such as the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), BID Invest, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Additionally, the UniAbrapp space at the congress will host 15 lectures covering topics such as digital security, ESG in investments, risk management, and the strategic use of artificial intelligence within EFPCs. The initiative aims to foster dialogue and networking among professionals through interactive sessions with specialists.
