Brazilian prospect Lucas Gabriel builds football career in Croatia

Nineteen‑year‑old Lucas Gabriel left Brazil to continue his football development in Croatia. After progressing through Brazilian youth academies, he signed with NK Jedinstvo Donji Miholjac before moving to NK Milka Trnina Vezišće, where he now plays as a left‑back, centre‑back and midfielder.

Gabriel says the distance from his family is challenging but fuels his determination. He cites his family as his main inspiration and also looks up to Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo for their professionalism. He stresses the need to stay focused on training and matches despite the pressure and loneliness of living abroad.
