Brazilian public service unions launch recognition initiatives
Municipal public service unions in Brazil are launching initiatives to recognize and celebrate public servants during their commemorative month.
In Codó, Maranhão, the SINTSERM union announced celebratory activities for Teacher's Day and Public Servant Day. For the first time, the organization will host a specific event for teachers at its own club headquarters, featuring live music and leisure facilities. A larger annual celebration is also scheduled for December.
In Bento Gonçalves, the SINDISERP union launched the ‘Eu Valorizo o Servidor Público’ (I Value the Public Servant) campaign. Held at the City Hall, the initiative aims to highlight the essential roles of municipal workers in health, education, and social assistance. Union president Neilene Lunelli and Mayor Amarildo Lucatelli emphasized that valuing public servants involves both fair compensation and adequate working conditions.
