Brazilian rap and trap artists announce major upcoming performances

The Brazilian urban music scene is seeing significant expansion through major upcoming events in São Paulo. The Arena Opus venue will host several prominent artists between August and November, showcasing the evolution from traditional rap to the rising trap movement. Scheduled performances include Filipe Ret on August 21 with his ‘NUME’ tour, and the ‘Maestria’ event on October 30 featuring Matuê, Alee, and Brandão.

Additionally, the Batalha da Aldeia (BDA) will celebrate its 10th anniversary on August 29, 2026, at Vale do Anhangabaú in central São Paulo. The event, titled ‘BDA 10 ANOS – Raízes da Nova Terra’, will feature an opening freestyle performance by Emicida, Projota, and Rashid. The anniversary celebration has already seen high demand, with the first three ticket batches sold out.
