Major RD releases album 'ALFA' featuring MV Bill and other Brazilian rap stars

Brazilian rapper Major RD released his new album “ALFA” on 31 May. The 13‑track project, issued through Warner Music, blends rap, trap, boom‑bap and rock, continuing the artist’s signature mix of guitars and heavy drums. It opens with the intimate “Cartas para Majur,” a song dedicated to his daughter, and the title track “Alfa” brings together veteran MC MV Bill and KL Jay, echoing the line “O Soldado encontrou o Major.”

The album also features collaborations with BK’, Djonga, MC Cabelinho, Slipmami, Ryu The Runner and Chefin, highlighting a cross‑generational link within Brazilian hip‑hop. Major RD said the work reflects his evolution from youthful ambition to a sense of responsibility for his growing fan base, emphasizing family, faith and leadership. The release follows his previous records “Troféu” (2021) and “Ascensão do Cisne Negro” (2023), and he now reaches roughly two million monthly listeners on Spotify.
