Brazilian Rapper Major RD Signs Deal with Warner Music Brazil, Announces Album ‘ALFA’

Rapper Major RD has signed a recording contract with Warner Music Brazil. The agreement marks his transition from independent releases to a major label and includes the upcoming release of his third album, titled “ALFA,” slated for later this year.

Major RD, who grew up in the Campo Grande district of Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone, previously released two albums—“Troféu” (2021) and “Ascensão do Cisne Negro” (2023)—and has built a fan base of about 2.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Warner Music Brazil president Leila Oliveira said the artist “built his story with authenticity and a real connection to the public,” adding that the label is ready to help expand his reach while preserving his artistic identity.

The partnership is expected to boost Major RD’s national and international visibility without compromising the rap‑rock blend that defines his sound.
