Brazilian restaurant chains expand operations in regional markets
The Brazilian restaurant sector is seeing strategic expansions in different regions. Meu Chapa Cozinha Brasileira, a buffet-style chain, is accelerating its growth plan with a focus on the Northeast region. The company is prioritizing shopping mall food courts to ensure operational standardization, security, and predictable consumer flow for its franchisees. Having established a strong presence in Bahia, including cities like Salvador and Itabuna, the brand aims to scale its model across other Northeastern markets.
Separately, MENU Restaurantes Corporativos has expanded its partnership with e-commerce giant Mercado Livre. The company now manages corporate dining operations for Mercado Livre in four Paraná cities: Ponta Grossa, Cascavel, Maringá, and Araucária. MENU, which serves approximately 100,000 meals daily across 80 clients in the South and Southeast regions, reported a growth of over 40% in the last three years and projects a 30% increase by 2026.
