Brazilian retail sector anticipates growth with spring-summer season
The arrival of the spring-summer season is driving new trends and economic expectations across the Brazilian retail sector. In Goiânia, Flamboyant Shopping is updating its displays with a mix of national and international brands, including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Dolce & Gabbana, to cater to consumers looking to refresh wardrobes for warmer, drier weather.
Nationally, the clothing retail market is projected to generate R$ 125.3 billion between September and December, representing a 7.5% increase compared to the previous year. This volume is expected to reach 2.5 billion items sold. December is anticipated to be the strongest month due to Christmas and year-end festivities.
The seasonal shift also impacts related sectors; the cosmetics and makeup market is expected to see revenues between R$ 15 billion and R$ 18 billion, while accessories such as jewelry and eyewear are projected to move between R$ 15 billion and R$ 18.7 billion during the period.
