Brazilian rhythmic gymnastics teams capture medals at regional tournaments
Athletes from Italva dominated the III Copa Guarapari held at the Maurice Santos Sports Complex in Guarapari, Brazil, placing on the podium in every category and achieving a 100 % utilization rate. The team earned gold medals in the Pre‑Infantil division (Katyane and Nicole), a bronze in the Mirim division (Eloah), a bronze in the Infantil division (Ana Beatriz), a silver in the Infantil division (Mel), and another bronze (Eloah) in Mirim.
In a separate event, gymnasts from Mogi Mirim competed in the Liga Metropolitana de Ginástica in Santos. Five young athletes participated across various age groups, with notable performances such as Rebeca Januário and Alice Mirela in the Infantil Iniciante hands‑free category, Drielly in the Pré‑Infantil division, Suzane with the arco apparatus in the Infantil category, and Eloiza in hands‑free. Coaches highlighted the competitions as vital for skill development and inclusion, and the local Sports and Leisure Department promoted free rhythmic‑gymnastics classes for children and teens.
