Brazilian sanitation and environmental organizations advance sector initiatives
Various Brazilian sanitation and environmental organizations are advancing professional development and policy initiatives. The Brazilian Association of State Sanitation Companies (Aesbe) recently met with technical coordinators to evaluate training programs through its Sanitation School, focusing on groundwater management and hydrometry.
In São Paulo, the Association of Sabesp Engineers (AESabesp) is promoting gender diversity through its ‘Elos Entre Elas’ Women, Environment, and Sanitation Committee. The initiative aims to build support networks and professional leadership for women in the sector and will be officially presented at Fenasan 2026.
Additionally, AESabesp participated in a meeting of the São Paulo State Water Resources Council (CRH) to discuss the launch of the ‘Berços D’água’ and ‘Águas Rurais’ programs. These initiatives, part of the FEAP PSA fund, provide financial incentives to rural producers to encourage conservationist practices and environmental preservation.
