Brazilian security forces advance officer training and graduations

Public security forces in Brazil have announced new training and graduation milestones. In Maranhão, the Military Police (PMMA) graduated 42 new officer aspirants from the 29th Officer Training Course. These graduates will transition from cadets to operational units in the capital and the interior to handle command and operational planning.

In Rio de Janeiro, the Military Firefighters Corps (CBMERJ) launched the 2026 classes for the Officer Improvement Course (CAO) and the Higher Military Firefighter Course (CSBM). This initiative is conducted in partnership with the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), which will manage the academic aspects of the training. The programs aim to enhance leadership, strategic planning, and institutional governance for 186 officers across combatant, health, and chaplaincy sectors.
