Brazilian Senate celebrates Administrator's Day

The Brazilian Senate held a special session to celebrate Administrator's Day, marking 61 years since the profession was officially established by Law 4.769 in 1965. During the session, presided over by Senator Izalci Lucas, professionals highlighted several key demands for the sector.

Key priorities discussed included the necessity of continuous education, preparation for emerging technologies, and the promotion of innovation, entrepreneurship, and research. There was also a call to defend the occupation of roles specifically designated for administrators.

Currently, Brazil has 490,000 registered professionals through regional and federal councils, with over two million students enrolled in administration and related courses. Domingos Sávio Spezia, representing the Federal Council of Administration, noted that since nearly a quarter of all higher education students are in administration-related fields, there is a pressing need to increase professional oversight, recognition, and visibility.
