Brazilian Serie D clubs América and Democrata secure knockout-stage spots

Goalkeeper Renan Bragança said América FC will approach its final group‑stage match against Sousa‑PB with a winning mindset, even though the team has already qualified for the Serie D knockout round. He emphasized the importance of each point for potential seeding and highlighted the squad’s recent two‑week rest to recover and fine‑tune details before the decisive phase.

Democrata, already guaranteed a place in the knockout stage, will finish its group campaign against Real Noroeste. Coach Cícero Júnior plans to rotate players now that qualification is assured, while still aiming to finish first in Group A12 to keep home‑field advantage for the next round. The club also announced the signing of forward Pablo Félix as it prepares for the upcoming phases.

Both clubs view the remaining group matches as opportunities to improve their rankings and secure home‑venue benefits for the upcoming knockout rounds of Brazil’s Serie D competition.
