Brazilian siblings Leopoldo and Carlotta Fagnani win junior ski titles in Ushuaia
Sixteen‑year‑old Brazilian siblings Leopoldo and Carlotta Fagnani captured gold in the Sub‑18 category at the Cerro Castor ski races in Ushuaia, Argentina. Their victories also earned the first professional points for Brazil in the International Ski Federation (FIS) rankings, with Carlotta placing second and sixth in professional events and Leopoldo finishing fifth and ninth.
The pair train under Italian coach Mauro Baldo and are part of the LIT Ski Racing academy led by former World Cup champion coach Chris Knight. They are now preparing for the South American Alpine Ski Championship scheduled for August and have expressed ambitions to compete in future World Cup races and the Winter Olympic Games.
