Jão returns with new album “Memórias Póstumas”
Brazilian pop singer Jão ended a more‑than‑year hiatus by announcing his comeback during a TV Globo commercial aired in the telenovela “Quem Ama Cuida”. The teaser revealed a countdown on his website and a video in which he wrote “Senti saudades”. He confirmed that his fifth studio album, Memórias Póstumas, will be released on streaming platforms on Sunday 26 July.
An official listening‑party, “Audição – Jão”, has been authorized by the São Paulo municipality for the same day at the Vale do Anhangabaú, with a capacity of up to 15 000 fans. The 14‑track album, whose title references Machado de Assis’s classic, follows four previous nature‑themed releases and explores themes of memory, loss and renewal.
