Brazilian singer Lucas Lucco speaks openly about depression and recovery
Singer Lucas Lucco disclosed that the first sign of his depressive episode was losing the desire to sing and perform. In an interview on the TV program Caldeirão com Mion aired on 1 August 2026, he described how lack of energy and enthusiasm for the stage prompted him to pause his career.
Lucco also revealed diagnoses of attention‑deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and giftedness, and called mental‑health struggles a “silent pandemic” affecting people worldwide. He emphasized that medication, professional treatment, and his Christian faith were essential to his recovery, noting the impact on his family, especially his parents. After regaining his health, he returned to performing and urged others to seek help and speak openly about mental‑health issues.
