Gaab, a 27‑year‑old vocalist and son of famed pagode singer Rodriguinho, posted a before‑and‑after photo series showing a loss of roughly 40 kg. He emphasized that the change was driven by health and well‑being, not vanity, and responded to online criticism by highlighting the gains in stamina, longevity and self‑respect. Rodriguinho himself recently lost more than 20 kg and underwent reconstructive plastic surgery after his own weight‑loss journey.
