Ney Matogrosso postpones shows following surgery

Brazilian singer Ney Matogrosso, 85, has announced a temporary hiatus from performing following a surgical procedure. In a video shared on Instagram, the artist explained that while the surgery was not serious, medical professionals have prohibited him from working for the next month to allow for recovery.

As a result of the medical recommendation, his scheduled performance at the Planeta Tiradentes festival in Minas Gerais, originally set for Saturday, October 24, has been rescheduled to February 27, 2027. Organizers confirmed that existing tickets remain valid for the new date, though customers may request refunds through the Ticket360 platform.

The singer did not disclose the specific nature of the surgery. This pause occurs ahead of his planned ‘85 Anos de Ousadia’ tour, which is expected to begin in early 2027 with stops in major Brazilian cities, including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
