Brazilian soybean and corn prices see upward trend
Agricultural commodity prices in Brazil are showing upward trends for both soybeans and corn. In Mato Grosso, soybean prices rose by 1.63% last week, driven in part by positive movements on the Chicago Board of Trade. This valuation has encouraged producers to increase sales for both the 2025/26 and 2026/27 crops. Currently, 96.90% of the 2025/26 soybean production has been commercialized.
In the corn market, physical prices have seen their third consecutive monthly increase, with the Cepea average reaching R$ 70.10 per bag in September. Future contracts on the B3 are projecting prices above R$ 80 for upcoming periods.
Additionally, soybean prices in Paranaguá have surpassed R$ 161.00 per bag, the highest level since February 2023. This comes amid record-breaking export figures, with Brazil shipping 92.79 million tons of soybeans between January and August 2026, a 7.2% increase over the previous record set in 2025.
