Brazilian sports media sees shifts with Rômulo Mendonça and Rembrandt Júnior

Brazilian sports broadcasting is seeing significant personnel shifts. Narrator Rômulo Mendonça has joined UOL following his departure from Amazon Prime in July. Mendonça, known for his energetic style in NBA and football coverage, will lead live broadcasts for basketball and football, as well as participate in sports programming. His debut at UOL is scheduled to include the first leg of the U-20 Brazilian Championship final between Vasco and Palmeiras.

Separately, Globo is restructuring its sports team by rehiring narrator Rembrandt Júnior. After a three-year absence, Júnior will return in September to lead football broadcasts in Pernambuco for both Globo's open TV and SporTV. This move coincides with Dênis Medeiros moving to Rio de Janeiro to work for SporTV and Premiere, following the departure of Sergio Arenillas earlier this year.
