Brazilian squad’s market value climbs as Neymar’s recovery progresses for 2026 World Cup

Eight players called up by coach Carlo Ancelotti have seen their transfer values increase by a combined R$ 390 million, according to Transfermarkt. Forward Rayan (Bournemouth) and striker Igor Thiago (Brentford) led the surge with rises of € 20 million (R$ 128 million) and € 15 million (R$ 96 million) respectively, accounting for more than half of the total uplift. The other six players – Danilo, Endrick, Matheus Cunha, Ederson, Léo Pereira and Ibañez – also posted gains, bringing the overall valuation of Brazil’s squad to € 928.2 million (about R$ 5.45 billion).

Separately, forward Neymar has logged 11 days of intensive rehabilitation for his calf injury and is progressing within the schedule set by the Brazilian Football Confederation. Medical staff report no setbacks, though they caution against rushing his return. While he remains unavailable for upcoming matches, the CBF and coach Ancelotti maintain confidence in his eventual contribution to the tournament, with Brazil set to face Morocco in their opening Group C match.
