Brazilian startup summits draw hundreds of innovators in Florianópolis and São Carlos

The Esquenta Summit, a pre‑event happy hour for the Startup Summit, will take place on 25 August at Balbúrdia Cervejaria in Florianópolis. Organisers expect at least 500 participants, describing the gathering as a major networking opportunity where “people meet a day before the main event and close deals during the week,” said co‑founder Ana Paula Dahlke.

On 25 May, São Carlos hosted the first Encadear Summit, a Sebrae‑SP initiative aimed at linking small and large companies. The event featured speakers from the municipal development secretariat, CIESP, and the regional Sebrae office. Ariane Canellas, Sebrae’s regional manager, highlighted that the summit “connects different actors to boost economic and social development” and covered topics such as competitiveness, ESG, and research partnerships with Embrapii, FAPESP and SENAI.
