The Tribunal de Contas do Estado (TCE) in several Brazilian states has launched a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability in public administration. A task force was created by the TCE to evaluate municipal transparency portals that publish information on parliamentary amendment resources, checking active transparency, organized presentation, traceability of funds and data consistency.

In the municipality of Sorriso, Mato Grosso, officials presented a Public Governance Program that establishes a Governance Council to democratize decisions, cut costs and improve accountability. Council member Antônio Joaquim praised the effort, saying, “É uma bela iniciativa, que deve servir como exemplo para outras gestões.”

The Escola de Gestão Pública do Ceará released a Manual of Ombudsman in Simple Language and a Risk‑Management Guide to make public information more accessible and reinforce internal controls.

The Tribunal de Contas do Rio Grande do Norte issued a cartilha on the ethical use of artificial intelligence, emphasizing human supervision, transparency, data protection and non‑discrimination for public servants.

Finally, the Tribunal de Contas do Paraná identified serious shortcomings in a R$ 412 million cleaning‑services procurement, recommending better planning, clearer editals, improved cost‑estimate databases and stronger contract‑guarantee controls.
