Mato Grosso do Sul rolls out 'MS Inova Mais Municípios' innovation program
The state government of Mato Grosso do Sul announced the launch of the "MS Inova Mais Municípios" program during the Pantanal Tech event in Aquidauana. The initiative, created through a partnership between the state secretariat (Semadesc) and Sebrae/MS, aims to embed innovation in municipal development, supporting bio‑economy, sustainability and the goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. It seeks to help all 79 municipalities adopt technologies, create local innovation ecosystems, and improve business environments through tools such as public procurement for innovation and the formation of municipal innovation councils.
Governor Eduardo Riedel highlighted the strategy of using innovation to boost regional growth, while Sebrae representatives emphasized the program’s role in fostering new businesses and enhancing competitiveness across the Pantanal region.
