Brazilian State Funds New Pediatric Hospitals and 24‑Hour Mental Health Center in Paraná

The Pará‑legislative savings of R$ 40 million were allocated to build two pediatric hospitals in Curitiba: the HCzinho Institute of Pediatrics at the UFPR Hospital de Clínicas and the Hospital Pequeno Príncipe in the northern region, expanding beds and surgical capacity for children in Paraná.

In Jaraguá do Sul, a state transfer of R$ 2.5 million, secured by state deputy Dr. Vicente Caropreso, will finance the construction of a 24‑hour Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS III) in the Vila Lenzi neighborhood. The facility will provide continuous day‑and‑night care for severe mental‑health cases, aiming to lessen pressure on regional hospitals and improve support for patients and families.
