Brazilian state governments unveil new infrastructure, school and health investments

In Espírito Santo, Governor Ricardo Ferraço opened a new police station, a basic health unit and an elementary school in Sooretama and authorized construction of a new school campus, a Type I mental‑health centre and road paving, with R$2.1 million spent on the police building and almost R$6 million earmarked for the CAPS facility.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, officials inaugurated the renovated José Serafim Ribeiro State School in Jaraguari, adding classrooms, a science lab, an IT lab, climate‑control and a modernised sports court with an investment of R$7.6 million. The same day a 11.48‑km stretch of highway MS‑010 was paved, costing R$30.9 million and improving access to the Quilombo Furnas do Dionísio community.

In Roraima, Governor Antonio Denarium Sampaio launched the “Roraima em Ação” program, pledging 3,500 surgeries within 90 days, 120 km of road paving, new orthopaedic facilities, school construction and R$14 million for security actions against violence, alongside measures to expand specialised health services and improve rural infrastructure.
