Brazilian state health agencies launch major recruitment drives

The Fundação de Saúde Pública do Município de São Gabriel do Oeste in Mato Grosso do Sul opened a simplified selection process (Processo Seletivo Simplificado nº 003/2026) for a reserve register of four health‑related positions: surgical instrument technician, hospital laundry worker, orthopedic immobilization technician and occupational safety technician. Salaries range from R$ 1,819.21 to R$ 6,214.52 and the contract is temporary, renewable for up to two years. The edital includes quotas for people with disabilities, Black candidates and Indigenous applicants, and selection will be based on curriculum analysis and weighted points for education, training and experience.

Meanwhile, the State Secretariat of Health in Paraná (Sesa) announced the final homologation of its public competition, offering 641 statutory positions across technical and higher‑level health professions. Initial salaries vary between R$ 4,231.60 and R$ 7,616.88. The vacancies are split between 325 higher‑level roles such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists and psychologists, and 316 technical roles including nursing assistants and laboratory technicians. The hiring aims to end a ten‑year hiring gap and strengthen public health services in the state.
